GANGLOFF cars have been in service since 1949. In anticipation of the 100 year anniversary in 2010, GANGLOFF is upgrading all four cars and remodeling a compartment to make it wheelchair accessible.
Upgrade
- One compartment in each car is equipped with new, manually operated telescoping sliding doors with an open clearance of 850 mm. Wheelchairs, baby carriages, and bulky luggage can thus be transported with no problem.
- New audio system with loud speaker and radio/MP3 player for the acoustics of the passenger section.
- New paint job and signage to match the new image of the Niesenbahn.
